In this blog, which is aimed at those who have never thought of employing an interior designer, I will be outlining the benefits of using using the services of someone trained in interior design. Employing a designer is a good idea and could even save you money.
Colour – Many of us are scared of colour, we aren’t sure about using a bold colour or how to combine colours. There are a lot of paint companies out there and a vast array of colour charts which can be bewildering. We can often be scared of using colour. I will advise on colour palettes and the proportions in which they should be used. I will work with you to understand your needs and wishes and translate those into the final design. I will create a mood board to help the customer see how all the elements will work together. The mood board will include swatches of fabrics, wallpaper, paint charts etc and pictures or illustrations of items of furniture and accessories. I can provide elevations which are scale drawings of how the scheme will look.
Time Saving – Most of us lead busy lives and may struggle to find the time to research a scheme. Finding all the elements of scheme such as paint/ wallpaper, flooring, furniture, accessories is time consuming even with the benefit of the internet and online shopping. I will undertake all the leg work.
Cost Effective – Everyone has a budget. I will work with you to make the most of your budget focusing on the aspects that are most important to you. Using my expertise will avoid potentially expensive mistakes and can help add value to your home.
